I did the baker hughes 10k this morning - 57.25 which is ok but I was hoping to beat it. turns out endurance training has little to do with speed, even when it's a shorter race. I'm happy with that though - it was pretty warm and for the first time in a 10k I took some water. I don't like the way they use water bottles though, as most folk only take one sip then throw it to the side - they should fill cups as they do in other races. it was absolutely mobbed this year for the 30th anniversary which was good.

beefy and the kids got up early to come and cheer me on, then we went up to union square and the girls went shopping while me and bee went for lunch at patisserie valerie which was ace. then home and over to shieldon for tea.
