Monday Maisery
I was invited to see Lady Maisery, best described as a socialist folk trio. I've always liked melancholy or haunting music. Coupled with a good dose of anti-war and pro-socialist messaging, I think I've found a perfect genre. Their merchandising was successful and I came away with a Lady Maisery mug and some vanilla pod tea.
Other than that a slightly miserable Monday, weather-wise and also fuggy head-wise. After weekends of indulgence and too much bread I suffer from food hangovers when it feels like gout is lurking around the corner and I spend half the day on the toilet, answering work emails on my phone from there. Bread maltreats me more and more with the passing years, yet I can't resist its crusty and tantalising glare. It's a game I am bound to lose.
