These amazing owls which are now in the archaeological museum in Heraklion were made between the 12th and 15th centuries BC.
Over 3000 years ago, I wonder if those who made them had any concept of how long they would last. They are made of simple decorated pottery and were put into tombs to accompany the dead. The tallest is about 5 inches high. How amazing that they survived.
