Going for Gold

They have painted the two pillar boxes on Bridge Street in gold. This is to commemorate the Gold Medal won by local man James Roe. He won the medal as part of the rowing mixed coxed four crew in the Paralympics. Although born in Leamington Spa he now lives in Stratford. The town is celebrating his win by parading him through the town on an open top bus on Thursday.

I've reengineered the outside of Laura Ashley slightly as I wanted to show the front of the pillar boxes, but liked the view from across the road. Hence the two photos I took today of the pillar boxes merged into an obvious collage as I preferred the unsubtle approach.
