My family of marmots
A fabulous stroll into Val da Fain brought me to a valley seemingly overpopulated with marmots. A truly magical day being so close to nature: the valley entrance was guarded by a herd of chamois, the trail was alive with marmots young and old, playing, screeching and scurrying, lunching nearby to a male ibex, whilst the rest of the herd grazed higher up on the hillside, and finally a lone roe deer to end the wildlife spectacle. Landscapes and wild flowers were equally stunning.
