Tulip head


I cut off the heads of the tulips today and thought this looked like a cartoon figure.  All the petals have now fallen off but two anthers still hang on and there is evidence that the pollinators have been busy.  The stigma on this is fuller than that of yesterday’s tulip and I think the little lumps must be developing seeds.
