Beech trees

We have belts of tall old beech trees around the edges of our estate. The leaves have only just come out, so they're looking fresh and lovely, and the rooks' nests are largely hidden from view.  Because they're so tall and old, they're rather susceptible to damage in storms.  A couple of years ago, one came down and flattened a garage and damaged the adjoining house. In extras, there's an example of a branch that has been broken off, but left hanging.
