Gibberish

Every year, the dictionary people add new words to the big book. These are often words that have worked their way into the English language through common usage. Today they added some I have used, like facebook, faff and jog on. Others are good Scottish words, like blootered, faff, rowie and fandabidozi! Others feel weird, like podium (as a verb) and sick (as good). And others are just wrong, like totes (totally, not bags), lush, lolz - they're not words, unless you're from The Only Way is Essex. Maybe I'm just a denialist.

Anyway, my prediction of the end of a sporty summer yesterday was premature with Andy Murray's win overnight. The nation is riding on a high of sporting success (we can no doubt count on Craig Levein to put things back to normal tonight).

Andy's win, after a Gold in the Olympics, makes him the first British man in 76 years to win a Grand Slam. It was the talk of the office today.

I think that's what they're calling totes amazeballs.
