Tuesday: Cartems

I was out and about a fair bit today with my Toronto colleague.  One of the meetings we had this afternoon was with an achingly trendy social media company.  It was almost a parody of itself - staff strewn about on bean bags, mock chalets set up as meeting rooms, a ping pong table and beer on tap (activated on Friday afternoons).  Their second office, which we didn't see, has a yoga room, a nap room and a massage therapist..........

At one point, we had about 45 minutes between meetings.  We were very near 'Cartems' which does the best doughnuts in Vancouver.  'Let's have doughnuts', my colleague said.  'OK', I said.

Fred has had a fight with something under the decking - we're not quite sure what.  K. said it was this afternoon and lasted about 10 seconds.  She heard Fred upset but didn't hear anything else.  He's feeling a bit sorry for himself - given what happened to Max we're pretty nervous and will keep a close eye on him.
