Snack

She has taken to hunting at ice lollies after Tuesday classes. Today she insisted she was too warm for additional clothes so danced round tescos in her leotard. As you do.

Day 2 of SATs. She's stressing about the maths. They did section one of their second paper today and she said she got stuck on two questions so left them. We've had a wee chat about having a go even if she thinks it might be wrong in case she gets some marks but she absolutely hates being wrong. She's worrying about time questions coming up in the maths. She seems to have got her head thoroughly convinced she can't do time even though she gets it when we go back over it together.

The Y2 teachers have told them they'll have relaxing afternoons whilst SATs are happening. Today was DVDs and colouring with some singing time of their Little Big Sing stuff.

She likes leaving early on a Tuesday. Her and Bobbins skip out of their classes together to us. We get home in time to get her changed and ready before school is even finished so it works well for us!

Today her ballet teacher announced their big show for early next year- they're doing the Nutcracker. And she's said that a child from Grade 2-4 will be chosen as Clara. Of course my little lady has her heart set on it. I have had to remind her that there's some very talented wee dancers and she's much younger. But she's adamant she's going to work extra hard anyway.
