ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!
What is it about the UK that once it starts raining, it doesn’t know when to stop? Mr. HCB was due to go to cricket today, but what with feeling poorly and this awful weather, he and his cricket buddy, Keith, decided that they would give it a miss.
It’s true that the gardens needed rain, but just as our flowers are beginning to come out, and the garden is looking good, they don’t really need this torrential stuff.
Yesterday, the this poppy that once bloomed in Mr. HCB's mother's garden, was shaping up to look lovely, but today, its head is hanging down and you can almost feel the despair.
BUT, we will not despair - we are feeling better each day and believe that before too long, the sun will be shining.
I was looking for a quote about rain, but found this one instead and rather liked it as it fits in well with my despairing poppy - hope you like it too.
“Don’t try to present your art
by making other people
read or hear or see or touch it;
make them feel it.
Wear your art
like your heart on your sleeve
and keep it alive by making people
feel a little better.
Feel a little lighter.
Create art in order for yourself
to become yourself
and let your very existence
be your song,
your poem, your story.
Let your very identity be your book.
Let the way people say your name
sound like the sweetest melody.”
