Heron on the River Clyde

Today I walked with the Wednesday Girls.  It was a beautiful day and felt like summer.  We took a bus to Hamilton and walked down to the river, and from there along the river to Chatelherault Country Park, where we stopped at the Visitor Centre for a snack.   We then walked the green route to the Green Bridge and back to the centre. 

It was a joy to walk with all the wild flowers, and even some butterflies which I had not seen until now this year.  The garlic flower was in great abundance, and I have put on two extras of it. 

We were surprised to find we had walked nine miles, as it was very easy walking.

Home on the bus to via Hamilton.  Great chat and great walk!
