Force Crag Mine
Acquired by the National Trust in 1979 the mine first produced galena the mineral ore of lead it later switched to barytes and in its lifetime extracted 60,000 tons of the mineral.
The mine is situated at the head of Coledale in the Lake District and is best approached from Braithwaite. CP can be seen in the picture if you look hard enough.
