Woody...

I loved Woody the Woodpecker cartoons when I was small, although the cartoon version didn't bear much resemblance to the actual bird! It's probably why my brothers and I never noticed woodpeckers when we were growing up--we were looking for birds with blue bodies and a big red head! HaHa! Saw this guy on the peanut feeder this morning--it's been coming a few times a day, but it's visits are usually in the early evening--this was the first time I've seen him in the morning! No doubt I'd have noticed him a lot sooner had he been wearing his cartoon colors!  :)))
