Speckled bush-cricket

A second day of full on baking for Molly's 90th birthday party. We now have a coffee and walnut traybake, chocolate brownies, a Bakewell tart, carrot cake, a gluten-free Victoria sandwich, white chocolate and vanilla cup-cakes, a rich fruit cake and a giant two-tier lemon Madeira cake with a lemon curd buttercream filling.  Hopefully something for everyone!

In a brief break from the cooker, on the way to purchase more ingredients, I spotted this tiny speckled bush-cricket nymph on a leaf in the front garden - the only photo of the day!
