Jack Gordon and Gordon Brown of Eclipse Motorcycles, in the sidecar race at this year's first East Fortune Road Race event. Also my first attempt at taking panning shots and any motorcycle racing.
One of the main reasons for buying the camera, was to use it at such events. This was the closest I could get to the action, so really need a longer lens. That said, I was really pleased with the results, only a few not quite in focus, or shaky. Several too distant, but okay for a first attempt, and a longer lens would/will be more difficult to "nail the focus" with.
The lump in the background is North Berwick Law.

Extras:
- Local lad Howard Selby on a Suzuki GSX1100 Katana. He had a bad start in the first big production bike event, and rode like a demon, breaking the lap record (held by himself) in an effort to reach the front. Did manage to work his way up to second place, but came off the bike on the last lap, when the bike went into neutral coming up for a corner. He won the second race, nae problem. [Frame : 26]
- Number 1, Douglas/Dougie Taylor on the Duffus Yamaha 750cc race bike, and well in the lead. [Frame : 24]
- Eric McFarlane in the production bike event, and also on a Suzuki GSX1100 Katana. [Frame : 27]
