Planticide

As Taggart would say "there's been a murrrdrrrrr".  These are the headless corpses of two recently germinated cucumber seeds.  They were on the kitchen windowsill, normally a safe haven, and yet something has managed to climb up the tiny stems without breaking or bending them and has eaten the whole head.  They only had 2 leaves on them - they didn't stand a chance.  I have potted up a couple of replacement seeds and I will be guarding them day and night by torchlight......
