Joe's Blips

Anniversary

Forty three years ago today, twenty seven people were blown to bits by a car bomb in Dublin's Talbot Street. Another seven died in a similar attack in Monaghan. The Unionist crackpots claim that they didn't do it. The IRA terrorists claim that they also had nothing to do with it. The Irish army certainly didn't bomb their own people. All of which leaves us with British Army dirty tricks departments. Unfortunately the British government refuses to say anything..... a suspicious silence and utter refusal to co-operate. This afternoon our Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr.Charles Flanagan TD addressed the assembled friends and relatives at the site of the Dublin atrocity, promising once again to exert pressure on Westminister. "Whistling in the dark" I think it's called.
