Open wide ..

Another day of cattle work. This mornings job was to run 8 cows with calves in and bolus them then haul them down the road to better grass for the summer. After lunch went with wee brother to pick out 12 Hereford x heifers that I have bought from a nearby farm and haul them home . Thankfully they offered to bring some of them in their trailer as it would have meant 2 trips for me, which would have coincided with rush hour and the Sherriffhall roundabout . Never a good combination !
These are some of the wormer bolus that the calves get which dissolve over the season releasing a dose every 3 weeks or so. This allows the calves to build up some natural resistance to worms.
