Cumbria Here I Come

Water babe

Misty enjoyed a swim in Derwent Water this morning.  The plan was to go up Cat Bells after her dip.  We got about a third of the way up before I decided I didn't want to go any further, my heart wasn't really in it.  Went back to the lake, more swimming for Misty who was intrigued a party of noisy school children whose teachers were Pirates, they were having lots of fun and playing games.

Was so very very cross when I saw a dog chasing some sheep down the very steep fell.  The owner did eventually get the dog back and put it on a lead, but it should have never been off the lead!  There's been a lot of reports on the tv over the last two weeks from farmers and the police telling people to keep dogs on leads around sheep as many have been killed and mauled and one dog has been shot!

Anyhow Misty is a happy collie now as her best friend is back again, but only for a few days this time.  We had a lovely walk on the marsh this evening and there were some amazing clouds all around us.  Have put one in Extras together with another of Misty in the woods at Manesty with bluebells in the background.
