The Big Dog

Diary bit:

Met Damian "Big Dog" MacGillicuddy today at an SWPP seminar on lighting and portraiture. Very informative it was too. I'm not a fan of "glamour" photography, but I really like his more fashion-y portrait stuff and he really knows his chops when it comes to lighting and also how to run a photography biz. Got a lot out of it.

It's been an odd day. My Dad died of a heart attack ten years ago today ( yep, 9/11 +1 year ... he had an immaculate sense of dramatic timing). I've been over it for years now but it's been weighing on me this week. I feel the urge to mark it though. Hence this bit of the post.

So I'll be having a wee dram of GlenMorangie ( our home tipple where I grew up and went to school ) in his honour, tonight.
