More Orkney adventures

I travelled to the Orkney mainland from Stronsay this morning. There was a craft fayre in the Town Hall. One of the embroiderer's had a panel which will be going into the Scottish Parliament building, along with other panels from around Scotland. Anyone could join in the project and add a few stitches. I did a short section of stem stitch and my name was added to the list.

How amazing and unexpected was that? Lots of lovely things have happened during this holiday.

I spent the afternoon exploring the little town of Stromness with its back alleys and the slipways to the houses by the harbour. Then on the second ferry of the day to the Scottish mainland and a superb B & B on Dunnet Head.
