Lovely couple, bad sign

Our friends E and J are retiring to Georgia and will be leaving within the month. We haven't always lived near each other, but for the past almost 10 years they've been only 6 miles away (although it took 2 years before we knew it). For the past few years we haven't been able to get together as often due to caring for our parents and other family stuff. They are definitely the kind of friends where we can pick up where we left off - I just hope we get the chance.
