Speedwell Park Waterfall
I woke up this morning in New Jersey and had nothing on my agenda. I decided to buy a sandwich and head down to Speedwell Park and have a little mini-picnic next to the lake. I also had a short walk along the 'Patriot's Path' - a 35 mile (56 km) long path. I only did a tiny section! It's a peaceful green place away from the traffic. This waterfall once powered the historic Speedwell Ironworks. Apparently they built parts for the first steamship, the SS Savannah, to cross the Atlantic Ocean.
There was more to explore but I have had to leave that for another time as I had to head back to the hotel and get ready to leave for the airport at 3pm, for my flight back to London.
