The survivors

It looked as though another lovely afternoon was on the cards so we drove up to Kentallen and had lunch at the Holly Tree. On the way I spotted this group of trees which had been left when the forestry had been cut down - the sun was on them and the sky behind them was dark, so I had to stop!

The food at the Holly Tree was fine, but the place itself wasn't as good as it used to be - just beginning to look a little ragged here and there. But the views across Loch Linnhe were good with huge banks of cloud hanging over the mountains, so that was my extra for the day!
