Salt in the making
Another busy and productive day.
Bought new bikinis without trying 'em on. Managed to buy a good pair. 8€
Checked out 5 different charity shops and bought various items.
2 lamps 7€ total
more fabrics to use for sewing 13,5€
2 scarfs (one to use as belt, one as fabric) 2€
pants which I will cut to be shorts (more needed here during the summer) 2€
dining table and 4 chairs 120€ home delivered
Then some playa and natacion time. The water is wonderful and the new bikinis stays on in the waves (extra nice). Even if there's always naked people around, I don't feel like joining their cult.
Also save one Yucca palm tree from the trash. Gave it a new home, a bigger new pot, new good soil and lots of water. Let's see if it will have a good life ahead. Now I have 3 plants in total. One from the trash and two cacti I just took home from the campo.
I had to check the plural for cactus. And learned: "Confusion arises over the plural of cactus because its original plural form (cacti) derives from Latin and native English speakers are drawn to cactuses, which adheres to the standard ruling for forming plurals. Both cactuses and cacti are acceptable. Of note, cacti is the more common plural."
Live and learn. Live and learn. But I should be learning Castellano not English.
Well, I did learn an almost Spanish joke. I heard it in Spanish and understood it, but can't repeat it in Spanish. The joke goes:
There are 2 fish in the sea. Other asks the other "What does your father do?" He answers "Nada". Which is funny as nada is nothing and swimming. There you go!
