The Hag of Beara
The forecast was spot on today, clear blue skies all day. So after a fabulous breakfast at the B&B and much chatter about local history we set off to find a number of Holy Wells including the tiniest well I have ever seen! It was located on the top of a hill with magnificent views all around. We searched for and found three other wells as well as an enormous ogham stone, a beautiful ruined church, the final resting place of the children of Lir and the Hag of Beara. As well as a potter on the beach at Garnish, a bimble around the pretty village of Eyres and a paddle on the beach at the end of the day. We certainly packed a lot in! There's a few extra pictures today too.
