Timing

Is everything.

My friend, Paul, came to visit this evening on his way back through from visiting his folks. I don't see him as much as I would like, but 26 years of friendship means that time and distance don't make a difference.

There's been much chat, a lot of it about politics and James' future plans and other stuff.

Whilst standing in the back garden at dusk, we were privileged to see six little bats emerge from the side of our house - don't think they are roosting there, it's just the lie route through. I love bats.

It's been a nice evening, chatting, laughing and reminiscing. It was good to have a night off from thinking about work stuff.
