I am pleased with myself!

Struggling with computer problems so have backblipped yesterday.
At last I felt the time had come to give golf a try, possibly not the best of ideas the day before giving my first full walk a try! I was quite nervous this morning as I haven't played since I damaged my ankle in October. I needn't have worried as I did manage to hit it and had a reasonable game. Nine holes at Grange Park. Some of the uneven ground was a challenge though but I managed without too much pain.
The resident golf course geese have recently had babies. I'm told as they are sixth generation they are born with an inbuilt sense of how to avoid golf balls!
After taking my computer to the computer hospital I set off on the next challenge of the day, swimming! Apart from a little one in Lazarote, I haven't been swimming since the Great London swim last July. As I have entered the Great North swim in Windermere this year, which is three weeks tomorrow, I thought I ought to do some training. I managed one mile in two half mile bursts, stopping only for a time check. I was very pleased with that even though it took me a little longer.
Back home now and my arms are complaining that they have done a lot of work today with golf and swimming! Out tonight at the Parish Council Chairman's Dinner. Hope I stay awake!
