arachnid posturing

This is drama on a small scale. The flower itself is about the size of my pinky fingernail. I didn't even see the spider at first, but was attracted to the pale purple petals with the vibrant yellow center. But on closer look, I noticed the ghost of a wee spider - and it was not happy that I was pointing my big black cannon (Canon) its way!
Ultimately it was a win/win situation - the spider was not attacked, and I got a blip!
