Dolly in Amalfi

We took a tour along the Amalfi coast today, we visited Sorrento, Positano, Amalfi and Ravello! Sorrento was the first stop and we liked it, busy but cheerful and absolutely full of lemon scented everything, which is nice as I love lemons! The drive along the cost from Sorrento starts to get very twisty turny, but the views were spectacular pretty much the whole drive, I don't think there is such a bad view along the Amalfi coast! It was on to Positano next, narrow alleys and steep stairs bustling with people! We headed down to the beach to take a few photos and I made the mistake of taking my shoes off to walk on the (hot)sand, ouch! The views up from the beach were pretty great, the houses are all built up the steep cliffs, amazing! There was a wedding too, what a spectacular place to have your photo! Onward to Amalfi, which is where my blip was taken, and more houses built on the side of a cliff! Amalfi is very pretty, small and quite easy to go for a stroll around! We got an ice cream here, pistachio, and I honestly think it's the best ice cream I've had! Leaving Amalfi we headed along the coast to Ravello, another steep town with spectacular views! It was a good day, it was definitely worth the trip, the scenery was just spectacular! Once we got back to Naples we needed to head back to the apartment! We had initially planned to go out for dinner, but as we were in the supermarket picking up a few bits and pieces we decided it might be nice to have dinner in tonight! We made gnocchi with pomodoro, sub-ripened tomatoes, and buffalo mozzarella, with home made pizza, with pretty much the same topping as the gnocchi! They were both pretty tasty, I'd say we've got this Italian cooking thing down!
