Blackberries

We have quite a few blackberry vines in our front yard, and Tandy just picked a fresh bowl today. It looks like there are still quite a few that are ready to be picked, and an equal or greater number almost ready to ripen.

Perhaps another few weeks, or even a month of production remaining.

Speaking of production, did you know that the State of Oregon is the largest producer of blackberries in the world!

Another delicious berry related to the blackberry, is the marionberry!

Both berries are frequently used in pies and wine making, not to mention that both berries are occasionally used to create BBQ sauce!
