2017 Friday -- Colorful Pier
This has been a very, very good day.
We enjoyed a late lunch of Mexican food at Martin's Restaurant (pronounced mar-teens). A brief stop at the library produced two five buck magazines for twenty-five cents each.
Then a stop at the condo parking lot to capture today's photo. The flowers are proof of winter's rain; the pier is evidence of Cayucos' history, and the ocean is the backdrop of music that echos in this town.
A late afternoon walk on the shore revealed the ocean's steady influx of sand, with all the rocks covered, invisible now to the unsuspecting stroller.
Then a long slow leisurely evening filled with fading sunlight was thoroughly enjoyable. A music documentary on a borrowed DVD from the library told us all about a group called "The Band." Their music we've loved for many years.
This has been a very, very good day.
