Oakwell at Night

FRIDAY

A busy day in the office playing catch-up followed by a "stuff your face" leaving party meal for a work colleague at the Chinese Buffet restaurant in Huddersfield.

As it was Museums at Night week I called in at Oakwell Hall on the way home to see how the newly installed computer-controlled lighting was performing. 

The blip shows the Leeds Waits who perform music from 1550 to 1700 on authentic instruments and in period costume (see extra for full line-up). The event also featured tours of the house by costumed guides and a selection of food and drink typical of what would have been served to the original inhabitants - The Batt Family - in the 17th Century.
