Raindrops on Roses
Rosa mutabilis, which I think means changeable.
As it ages the colour deepens from pink to coppery-crimson, to quote David Austin's website. He recommends it highly and I love it .
The flowers don't last long, but they keep coming, and have a delicate tea-rose scent. It is quite tender, so we gave it a favoured position, south facing on the wall over the back door where we can watch it as it changes.
Today it is just opening and enjoying a cool refreshing shower of rain.
