Lilac Bunch for a Friend

The 4 lilac trees/bushes in the backyard are so LOADED this spring! I open the windows and they send their fragrance right inside.
One of the old lilac trees is dying. It blooms only at the top. There are youngsters starting all around it. It is my favourite with Very dark purple, super fragrant flowers. After blooming is done the old, lichen covered branches will be sawed down. I once got an entire wheelbarrow full of flowers from this one plant.
The lilac that is light colour in the front of the bouquet is a sweet smelling lavender shade. It needed a wee bit of pruning.
The entire bunch is going to a Rehab. Hospital for a neighbour friend who is recovering from heart surgery which included valve replacement for 3 leaky valves and stents in several blocked  places in her arteries.
She jokes about getting general maintenance! I think she may be close to 80.
