Jodi Picoult

'J' is for Jodi! ;-)

She cheered me up and 'occupied my mind' quite often before! Mine and Charmaine's dear friend Brigette brought me a whole bag full of Jodi's books to read, and I think it's time I get up to it now!

Today was a bit bad methinks! I almost gave in to the pressure!

I waited the whole day for the results from the Pahologists, I showered and got dressed early and sat downstairs in the Lazyboy. When I got up from the chair for supper, my one portovac tube got stuck and pulled right out of my body! I was so shocked, eisch! I phoned the doctor's after hours emergency number and when he phoned me back, he was able to put my mind at ease, advised to just cover it with sterile dressings and when he takes the other one out, he will check if there may be fluid inside the chest he will withdraw it with a needle, but it might just not even be neccessary!

The results:

Dr then discussed the results with me!

Everything in the breast was removed successfully, but the cancer appears to be very aggressive, the cells multiply at an alarming rate! He says the decision on chemotherapy versus/or with hormone treatment will have to be made by the ancologist. If just single cells might have found it's way to somewhere else in the body, they must be stopped! He will arrange with an oncologist to see me with him when I go to have my stitches removed early next week.

NOT REALLY WHAT I WANTED TO HEAR!! I must admit, I have lost a wee bit of my calm and collective composure! I am so sorry all my dear friends and family, I promise to pull myself together soon!

Please allow me to thank all of you once more for unselfish and constant support! I do appreciate it deeply!

LuvUAll
