Happy 3rd Birthday CyclopsJnr

CyclopsJnr's card was shown on CBeebies this morning, which he was pretty excited about once he believed it was really him!

Piles of presents started they day.  He got all sorts of things including a rescue helicopter, books, a car transporter with cars, a house with 4 lockable doors and doorbells, inflatable dinosaur claws and tail, Paw Patrol T-Shirt, chocolate, a kit for making animal masks and some book tokens and a cheque.  He's a thoroughly spoiled boy.

It was throwing it down, so Plan A was postponed until tomorrow.

Instead we played with the presents all morning in our PJs, then later we all went for a big swim at the Mariner Centre in Falkirk where CyclopsJnr did his best to wear out the slides, then for dinner at Frankie & Benny's where he had corn on the cob to start followed by cheeseburger and chips and brownie and ice cream.  The brownie had a candle in it, and they played "Happy Birthday" on the PA for him, which caused much delight.

CyclopsJnr's Granny and Grandpa got him a kids camera.  When we first suggested it, his Grandpa's first reaction was "Camera. For a 3 year old! Sounds ridiculous."  I admit that his parents thought he'd have a little bit of fun then grow into it over time, but he's off to a flying start.  He's mastered many of the silly functions (to make yourself look like a frog or spaceman) and taken passable photos of himself, his parents, and many of his new toys.  Throughout this his expression has been one of delight, as pictured.  Hopefully he'll continue to enjoy it.  We may even post some of his pictures - watch this space...
