Bugged
It was bugging me that I seem to find so few subjects worth a blip, so spotting this pair of shield bugs on a mullein plant was exciting. They are hairy shield bugs (matching the leaves in that respect) alternatively called sloe shield bugs, perhaps because of their striking purple armour. They revert to dull brown in winter.
