Baby goes out to play

I spent a wonderful peaceful hour and a half in the Boathouse at Elford and I was treated to some beautiful visitors.

No sight nor sound of either the woodpecker or the kingfisher but at one point a mummy duck's head popped up in the long grass, fleetingly followed by a couple of babies.

Great tits, blue tits, assorted sparrows, nuthatch and others were stocking up on the feeders.

And then the regular squirrel arrived.....plus a youngster. She stayed quietly in the background as this smaller (and cuter) version explored a bit, but staying close.
