When the hip replacement doesn't go quite to plan

Couldn't help but think of Simon whilst creating this image but I did see him today and as best I could tell, he doesn't have any mismatched limbs attached. He looked very well actually and can now enjoy two weeks off work whilst his shoulder recovers. I think he is OK with that, not so OK with no driving and no sport for 6 months though! Who would be,

Moderate ride today with Tim but I chose a route that had quite a few hills in it as he needs to build up the strength in his legs. Bit of a joke that as his calfs are about the same size as my thighs so I don't think its a lack of strength so much as a lack of determination. Either way, we will get there.

Lunch at Rachel's house today to celebrate Ross' birthday. Very nice meal, a bit of wine was consumed and I had 3 coffees, a record in one day for me but they were only small, espresso sized but Americano strength so really not even a full regular cup but my poor body is not used to it. Restless night here we come.
