Morning Snail

I snapped this snail that was sliding across the path whilst out on our walk early this morning. There were hundreds of them about and it was difficult to walk without crunching some of them.

I put the camera right against the ground to show the path and verges in the background. The sun is shining off the shell and foot.

The travellers' arrival was delayed by an hour due to leaving late from Los Angeles, so I didn't have to set off for Manchester until mid morning. All back safely for a bite to eat and a sleep (except little Jessica who had a sleep on the plane). Hopefully they will be a little less weary and ready to head off home.
