Armour

Now that my camera is fixed I thought I would try and take some close ups.
I really like flower heads when they have gone to seed. This is a pot marigold all ready to shed its seeds.
Looking at it closely I realised just how magnificent the seeds are - brilliantly designed to grip any old soil going and protected by a shell that will deter any predator. Those spikes and curls are like something out of 'Aliens'
