Flag Iris

Before meeting some ex colleagues for lunch, me, and L going to the hospital for an opthalmic appointment we had a walk round Maxwell Park ..... to check on the ducklings. There are still 4 and I think that they are big enough now to be safe from attack ..... I know that there are only 3 ducklings in the extra but the fourth was somewhere around.

The flag irises round the edge of the pond are just starting to unfold. The reeds, bulrushes and irises are providing plenty of cover for the ducks, coots and moorhens.
