A cracking day

Mr EAnn and I popped back to Brodgar (only a few minutes drive from the cottage) to explore the Ring of Brodgar. Our guide at Maeshowe yesterday described this area as currently the most exciting place in the world for archaeology. I'm not going to disagree.
We met the others at lunchtime at the auction market and I got to experience my first ever cattle auction. Fascinating.
Then the Italian Chapel and at the end of the afternoon a tour of the Highland Park Distillery. Samples were taken.
Such a brilliant island.
