Food and climate.

Theo has recently been learning about 'growing'. And within that he has been learning about food - hence the recent bean stalk blip. So this afternoon we looked at where various fruit and vegetables grow, and the conditions they like. Today's blip is of a world map with Theo's drawings of pineapples, bananas and coconuts to show where they grow - we talked about the equator and poles and temperature differences and how some foods prefer warmer conditions. I couldn't think of any fruit or vegetables that like solely cold climates (suggestions welcome!).
