Look Who's Back!
Previously Blipped last year in Sept., the famous crooked necked egret was back spotted fishing in the inlet today opposite The Marshwalk.
Although we see a ton of egrets out there this absolutely has to be the same bird. I have never seen another egret with a neck like that anywhere around the marsh area.
And it does not seem to be hurt or injured as best as we can tell and seems to be fishing and eating just fine. And, it's also got to be close to a year older so we have to assume he's doing well for himself.
The green lores around the eyes also indicate that our boy is in breeding condition.
Odd and interesting the first we saw it, and still feel the same way now.
