At The 'V'

Travelled up to the V Festival at Weston Park, Staffs. Evertything went really well except we weren't allowed to take our camping chairs into the festival - because we might, and I quote, 'you might use the chair as a weapon'. Saw Tom Jones in the afternoon and then in the evening The Killers - they were fantastic.

rather than camping we were booked into a hotel in Cannock on leaving the car park we had an interesting event - a very drunk couple asked for a lift out of the car park - on leaving the park they begged me to take them to their hotel in Newport - I declined this even when offered as much money as I wanted - the drunken pair kept asking the same questions and we ended up taking them to our hotel and getting the night porter to get them a taxi - overhearing their conversation with the taxi they didn't know the name of their hotel in Newport but they assured him they would recognise it! My daughter finally saw the funny side of things but admitted that she feared for her life (she is a bit of a drama queen) and she didn't believe people could get that drunk (innocent too!)

Hotel was quite nice 24 hour McDonalds up the road so supper and tomorrow's breakfast sorted
