Leaving Scotland behind

Today was the end of my Scottish holiday. I drove south from the lovely B & B near Pitlochry stopping in Jedburgh and arriving home for a late lunch.

I planned to take my blip from the parking area at Carter Bar where there are wonderful views of the Borders. The weather had other plans and the mist came down. I thought that this image sums up the feeling at the end of a holiday you have enjoyed and when you wish you could stay somewhere longer.

The piper was on the other side of the road to welcome folk to Scotland!

Home again safely. Lots of post to open and things to catch up on, not least the washing from the holiday!
