Steingaden

This Church is built n the site of an abbey built in1147 but it is the Rococo mouldings and paintings from 1771-4 that are so breath takingly beautiful.  the plain white twin towers and exterior walls give no hint of what lies inside the doors!
From there we walked along the walls of the old town of Shongau. We enjoyed lunch in a town square cafe and thought about the  picnic we had left on site.  Ooops!
